QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in cheerleading.
- Previous experience working with high school age students to train and foster their development in the sport.
- Ability to work well with student athletes in order to provide a safe and rewarding learning experience.
- Serves as a role model to student athletes, both on and off the field.
- Ability to place the appropriate emphasis on STUDENT athlete.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and appropriate staff regarding team procedures, student and team expectations, and student athlete issues.
- Ability to motivate and encourage student athletes and resolve conflicts in a positive, productive manner.
Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 practices/game days a week during sideline season and 4 practices/competitions a week during the competitive season. Ability to help with additional requirements as needed such as fundraisers, camps, team gatherings, and other community events that are outside of normal practice hours and schedule. Ability and willingness to assist with organizational duties such as ordering of team materials (uniforms, poms, etc.). Assisting with other duties such as coordinating for theme games, coordinating team meals, car pools, communications in the team/parent apps, email responses, etc.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the program and become part of the team for the long-term. Ideally this position will be for both the sideline and competitive seasons.
This individual should carry a level of professionalism and character that is able to work with children, teens, and their parents- while respectfully representing the community of Pinckney and Pinckney Community Schools. |
