SALARY:                           $20.00 per hour

                                          Up to 30 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS:             

Minimum                  

• Previous experience giving academic support to elementary school students.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop and maintain appropriate relationships and rapport with students, parents and colleagues.
• Organized and thorough in collection, analysis, record keeping and reporting of individual and school data, both manually and through use of appropriate technology.
• Ability to support classroom teacher-based literacy instruction.

 Preferred

• Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate with an emphasis in reading/language arts (BA, BX, BR).
• Experience with implementing and analyzing diagnostic reading assessments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in usage and application of technology.
